It adds protection (only certain films) and a different look!
This film is one of the better ones on the market and is pretty damn expensive. But they said they can do the 3m film which is cheaper, but they can't warranty their work. Only if you get the more expensive, better quality.

Ken, they used oracal on my car. But the film they are trying to push that costs a lot is some German company they can't disclose until they open shop in January. I don't even know what it is. But it's got a 8 year warranty and is 3x thicker than your average vinyl offeringvmore protection for paint below and longer life.
Also, it can be pulled off without damaging the paint below.
Thanks for the comments. I'll get quotes for hardtops and body panels

yup aaron it's the 3M di noc, that's the thick one and wrinkle free...
wow, just regular matte vinyl on your car? those are hard to put on coz it wrinkles if you dont know how. i wrapped my roof on my C32 with regular vinyl and it was a pain doing it by myself... good job

I don't think it's the di noc since that seems to be only CF. They can get almost any color/texture with the film they use. I'm curious myself.. They said material alone for entire car was $3500.
Most expensive I've found is oracal 3d cf which was $25 for 48"x1yd. So...

Have you noticed that oil seems to stain the wrap? I had that problem..eventually just took it all off.
