Guns go Pew Pew Pow!
Hello,
I thought I could try to get an event going. I asked a bit on Facebook to see if I could generate any interest.
The event would be a day at a Gun Range, of which could be decided by majority choice. Bring S2K's, snacks, weapons, and of course tons of ammo!
I would think it would be best to get a date set after the Vegas trip.
I suggest we try either a Friday or Saturday.
July:
1st or 2nd
15th or 16th
29th or 30th
Or on August 6th which would be my Bday.
For places there are many around our area. I've been to several of them myself.
I recommend one for sure:
------Los Altos Rod and Gun Club
http://www.losaltosrodandgunclub.com/
- Good for a nice little drive up the hills as well!!!!! S2K convoy?
- Good ranges
- Rapid fire .22 range on Cans/Bottles
- 25 yard, 40 yard, 100 yard, Skeet Range
A few I have been to as well.
------Sunnyvale Gun and Rod Club
http://www.sunnyvalegunclub.com/
One major range/multi lanes at 100 yards
Skeet Range
Is a decent place to go, nice staff. Military gets in free
I wouldn't recommend an Indoor but some people like it.
------Target Masters in Milpitas
http://www.targetmasterswest.com/
------Reed's Indoor
http://reedsindoorrange.com/
Can make it more then just a meet and greet and shoot. I know a few of the places have food areas located right next to them. If people want to bring food and drinks. No alcohol though sorry, most places won't allow.

I recommend having the correct gear to keep your firearms locked up correctly when in transit to range.

Sound enticing! I will see how many people are down, then i will bring my mossberg 12 guage, and my taurus .9, and maybe my uncles dirty harry gun aka long nose 357. Prefer outdoor, maybe los altos. Food? Not sure yet. When the time comes you will all know!

General question about shooting ranges...how much does it ballpark cost to shoot a few guns and have a good time (i don't have any guns or bullets). Are we talking $20 or $100 or $150 a person?

Depends on the place. Most indoor places charge by the hour.
If I remember correctly, the two outside one's I know off.
Los Altos = 15 bucks all day
Sunnyvale = 12 bucks all day
Then it just depends on if you just wanna use what friends bring or if you want to rent a gun.
Then ammo depends on what kind and how much you want to shoot ^_^
