Group Drive for Novice Drivers?
I really want to go to one of those group drives. But I heard that some of the drivers are insanely fast. (heehee, you know who I am referring to )
I believe most of our fellow Stookers are not that good in driving. Or maybe we just want to cruise in a relaxed manner - (with occasional VTECs and fast turns though ). And we may want people who are ahead to wait for the slower drivers. If possible, we may stop at some deserted places and let some advanced drivers to teach other people one thing or two about driving.
What do you guys think? Someone told me Skyline/Pinehurst area in Oakland is a good place to drive. I think we can start from there.

Let put it next Sunday (8/19) 10am.
We can meet somewhere in Oakland. I don't live there, so can anyone else suggest a place to meet?
I think we can start from the intersection of Skyline and Pinhurst. Then we can either take the route North or South.
Possible routes by reading the map:
1) North Bound - Drive around Wildcat Canyon Park
2) South Bound - Drive around Anthony Chabot Park
3) or a big circle around both if time permits
Hey, is Josh a novice driver?

Yeah we know but I guess Chris yourself also practice somewhere when you are not at autox. Am I right?
I think this group drive is more a drive than to learn how to drive. But just in case we find some deserted places and people are interested, maybe some advanced drivers can demonstrate donuts and drifts?

Keep us posted. We live in Moraga and take Canyon to Pinehurst up to Skyline. Really great road--lots of switchbacks BUT TOO MANY BIKES. Could be dangerous?? Please let us know where to meet and where the ride will go.

Hey
Can anyone live around Oakland suggest a place to meet? The requirement is a big and easy-to-find parking lot. Preferably next to freeway exit.
We will go from there and drive to Skyline/PineHurst to start the drive.
