Before you guys go, make sure to buy your tickets in advance! The last time I went on a drive down there, we were unable to take a tour because they were all booked up.
Also, I'm interested in going...assuming that when the date is set I'm not doing something else already. ^_^

This is the best drive in California! Just don't go crazy, or you'll fall into the ocean.
When you get down there, you MUST go to McLintock's. http://www.mclintocks.com/ It's a great steakhouse at Shell Beach, just south of San Luis Obispo. It's my favorite steakhouse in the area! i.e. the area between Mexico and Oregon.
I would be up for the drive and the steakhouse. Maybe for the castle thing.
