so no one from s2k i showed up to the drive, it was only my friends in their s2k's. it was fun drive even tho it rained. unfortunately my friend in a sti crashed, just not driving within his limits. he is fine and so is his passenger but the car is not.

I hope this does not scare off people for the next drive because face it, as long as you drive within your skill level and level of comfort, it would minimize the risks. I am planning out another group drive right now, most likely early june, and this time we'll have it more organized as in who normally wants a higher pace and who wants a slower one. so that all the fast people go ahead and just pull aside every now and then into a lot and wait for everyone to regroup and then head on out again. this way it doesn't really pressure anyone to speed because they feel like they're slowing down the group. especially driving in the rain like we did today, everyone should take it at the pace they are comfortable with. thanks to jon for coming out and reppin my350z even though he was the only one. we had a nice turn out today pre drive it was 14 cars. (two s2k's, 3 evos, 3 wrx, one 350z, & 5 sti's. A total of 8 made it on to skyline and everybody else was held back because of the unfortunate accident.

but other than that the drive was fun, on skyline we let the faster people drive in the front so that people wouldn't feel pressured, especially my friends in the s2k not having that much traction cause of their tires. and every now and then the front people would slow down to let everyone catch up. when we went down 84 it was great just nice leisurely drive. definately next one when the sun's out we would be able to enjoy it a lot more. i'll post up a new thread soon on the next drive.

i have the pictures, but i do not know how to post them up, hahaha newb status. can someone tell me?

Tranman-
Thanks for inviting folks from S2ki. . .
1. You caught us between events (check our events calendar early and often)
2. S2k's get skittish in inclement weather.

Keeping those things in mind, there's lots of folks from S2Ki who've been looking to do joint meets/drives with a bunch of different groups.

yeah, my s2k buddies broke loose a couple times, afterwards they slowed down a lot. i'm thinking the next event will be 6-18-06 which should be a sunday. the route should be highway 9, skyline, 84 la honda, to highway 1.

I've been on a lot of group drives with s2k's and other cars and no matter how many times below is said, some people will drive beyond their limits because they don't know what their limits are. Just watchout for tourists and guys on bikes on the weekends when crossing the DY.

I've been on hwy 9 more than a few dozen times and seen close to half a dozen accidents.
