Better be thinking about upgrades ASAP, with turbo comes a hefty amount of stress... ask anyone .. i'm going through all kinds of hell right now~

Remember to get the manifold coated.. if you don't remember to keep your receipt for the kit handy, or else greddy will just hang up on you
Can you elaborate on this?

I'm envisioning being able to bolt this on with a timer and controller and just drive... I don't want headaches.

hahahah where to begin, where to begin.....

go to FI section of s2ki,
there is a live greddy thread.. read ALL THE POSTS
then go search greddy turbo problems
and read ALL THE POSTS

granted it'll be a solid 4 hours of reading but.. if after those 4 hours, your still urging for this kit! then go for it.. i just wish someone gave me this advice before i took the jump...

either way.. leave an extra $2k in the bank as (reserve for greddy problems) money and you'll be ok =)

Sorry not to thread jack. For those of you with the non-CARB turbo kits, I was wondering where you take your car to get it smogged. Please PM me with info. I want to get a kit for the Fit but it's not CARB legal yet and don't want to have to uninstall it when it comes time to smog it.

Honestly I had a lot of problems with Greddy when I had the kit. Unless you are dead set on this I would look else where. Any reason why you dont want the new vortech kit or another supercharger? Im not sure if the greddy still comes with emanage, but that piggyback sucks. If you are getting this kit just for the "turbo" you should think again.

Bottom line i want reliability. I don't need an extra 150 whp at the expense of replacing internals and/or having smog woes. Greddy seems to be the most mainstream kit that is CARB legal and OVERALL has been received well.

I'd be open to SC as well, but everyone I have spoken with (shops and individuals) have instantly recommended greddy.

That is steep on both accounts. Shop around and study the forced induction forum extensively.
