I got GT5P yesterday and it is pretty damn good! I'm impressed... It definitely feels more like a new game, or an evolution, and not just a rehash of GT4. You won't want to put the controller down! That's for sure... The game is so rich, and detailed, and has a really cool atmosphere to it. And I kept finding myself saying "thank God they fixed that, or thank God they got rid of that"! There are a lot more options you can set now, two different base physics driving models ( ;-) ) on top of all the traction controls and steering help. Finally!! I've been waiting and hoping for that for a long time. So you get the Standard setting, which feels like the usual/normal GT physics and then they've added a "professional" setting, that really steps up the driving level closer to that of a PC Sim game. So that's really cool! I was spinning out all over the place on one of the tracks, lol. And there are now 16 AI cars, which makes racing the computer a whole lot more fun, and you can adjust their difficulty setting by number, not just by easy, med, hard. So the races to earn money are way more fun now. The only shortcoming I see so far, is that the number of tracks is limited. But Daytona is a new type of fun, and also pretty funny online. It's totally like a NASCAR race, lol, and it reminds me of the drafting battles I used to have playing the old Nascar Racing 3 by Papyrus. The online multiplayer works well, and there are some nice rules/programming to keep people from being jackasses. The drifting mode is cool, and so are the in-car views. There is a lot to explore and do in this game... I have to say, "I'm loving it, and this is what a Gran Turismo should be!"

BTW, anybody know what the deal is about GT5? I keep hearing conflicting info about it. The guy at Game Stop was saying that they only released it in Japan, and that in the US we're only gonna get Prologue, and then have to download tracks, cars, and maybe a damage module. Then I've heard others say that Prologue is to keep us satiated for a couple of years till GT5 comes out.

I am still looking for a new HDTV, any suggestion? I found out for same price(let's say $1200), you coule get 40 or 42" 1080 but 50" 720. I'v read, in some case 720 looks better than 1080 on LCD, plasma, especially fast action.
So should I just get a 720? Cuz 50" and 40" are totally different. And I couldn't wait to play GT5 too
