Default Grades of Gas

When did 85oc come out?

I'm not talking about e85, I'm talking about regular 85oc gas.

I recall there only ever being 87,89,91 and rarely 93.

Where did you see it. Typically they only dispense 85 octane in high altitude states.

lol 93oc. its the lowest octane rate we have in the philippines... highest? 97. and sometimes 100. LOL

I'm pretty sure they use Research octane nomenclature which would be equivalent to our AKI method of R+M/2. Generally subract 4 from RON and you get AKI, making that equivalent to 89-93 standard over here in the states....
