Default government jobs

so i posted my resume on craigslist

and i got a call from a government recruiter asking me if im interested in an interview.

they want me to go in and interview me and see if i pass the security background check..

he says upon passing, they can hire me and train me in almost any sort of field.. and all that good money i can make by going into intel or be an FBI, NSA, CIA operative.

anyone heard of this before????

sounds bogus....my guess is that he'll say he needs to charge you a fee to run the security check. Then he'll walk away with your money or just tell you you didn't pass.

I'd be willing to bet he's an Army recruiter. Think about it... they certainly can "hire [you] and train [you] in almost any sort of field." As long as it's in Iraq!!!

I see you are on craigslist. What about Dice.com(for tech-oriented jobs), hotjobs, and Monster(Kinda lame)?

I've already landed 3 jobs on Dice.com within the last year. 2 were contracts and the last(my current) is full time employee.

Make sure your resume looks good in .txt format so that you can copy+paste it onto the other sites and email it to the employers that don't like .doc. I posted my resume on Dice at the start of the year and was getting ~4-5 calls a day. That was a huge improvement over me applying for individual positions.

Are you a software engineer? My company is always looking for more...

Before I get potentially flooded here..you need to be a top-notch engineer.

i'm not an engineer.
im looking for an admin position wether it be office admin or computer admin.

dice is geared more towards tech jobs that requires a nice bachelor or vast years of experience which neither do i have.

monster.com isn't that up to date compared to craigslist because when employers are looking to fill positions fast, they tend to go towards craigslist because the resumes on there are more up to date and with people who needs work immediately..

but i can accounting/finance work/ admin work/ tech support/ computer admin related work.

i got calls from several places for interview. but if you have the hook ups, i'd definitely be interested

^ and have a good degree!

those jerks basically ended the interview when they found out I had a psychology BA from Davis, despite 10+ years of experience.
