Yo won't get out of the ticket. Cops often train with AirForce Radar operators to judge speeds, that is why they are soo good at it. You can try writing (you will fail), and going to court (only wastes your time) but just try and keep an eye on your six next time.
Good luck!

For those that are complaining, just slow down! I usually don't rant on this board, but don't complain getting a ticket if you're speeding, esp if you're driving over 80.
I've seen a lot of police the past few days, esp. on 280 during lunch.
Also, you can try getting your fine lowered by asking to the judge when you declare guilty in court.

i got a speeding on the way up to tahoe last year and they got me off the ticket. they basically send in a trial by written declaration. although my cousin didnt get off, and another friend of mines is pending trial still. so maybe its hit or miss.
you can go to court and hope the cop doesnt show up, or even request repeat offender traffic school.

just go and fight it and ask the cop to show maintainance logs on the patrol car that he was using and if he is unable to provide those to you at the time of the trial in court you can argue that the car and speedometer have not been calibrated with either new tires or old tires or anything of that nature. therefore is not a liable resource on determining the speed at which you were traveling haha i've pulled that a few times in court and got away with it cause theres no proof of your actual speed. woot!

hey guys, I just received my courtesy notice. Low and behold, they gave me an option to take traffic school! Could this be a mistake? Cuz I am 100% sure I had another ticket less than a year ago.
Has anyone got this from the County of Santa Clara (Palo Alto Courthouse)?
I don't want to pay the additional fine for traffic school when I am not really eligible.

So if let's say, you took traffic school for a speeding violation 12 months ago, you will not qualify to take it again until 6 months later.
