It would be cool to use it to check your camera angles and turn it off and on from inside the car if you have it mounted outside.

Yeah this is fantastic. Definitely will be picking up a HERO2 and Wifi Backpack when I move out here.

Looks like the app is not released yet. But it still comes with a stand-alone remote that you can use to control the camera until the app arrives.

Totally. It's probably best if a bunch of friends get together who all own a GoPro + the backpack. That way, rather than one person buying 5 cameras and five backpacks, all could provide their own and start films at the same time.

As a former Contour owner, as much as I love that aspect of it too, in the end the video and audio quality on the Hero2 are way better.
Really? The last time I compared the two, the Contour had significantly better video and audio quality.
