Default Good store to buy stereo wiring and accessories?

With the new home comes the ridiculous TV and related audio equipment. Now I've got to wire this thing up and, if possible, want to avoid the crazy level of markup the big brand electronic stores put on items like wiring and banana plugs. Can anyone recommend an audio shop that has these things at semi-reasonable prices that also won't go all "you need monster cable" on me?

While I'm generally a big fan of buying locally, I think your best bet is online. bluejeanscable.com has pretty good prices. Perhaps Mac can chime in.

One man's opinion:

Online is definitely your best bet for wiring, it will be super cheap. My rule of thumb is: if the shipping costs more than the product, then its a good enough deal for me! Check the reviews of the product to make sure it doesn't have a history of defectiveness, and you should be golden. Some of these digital signals seem like "all or nothing" rather than shades-of-gray in terms of quality, but I might have just made that up.

I use the 0.03 cent DVI-HDMI cables from amazon to hook up my macbook pro to a HDTVs and the quality is consistently amazing. Defintely glad I didn't spend $30+ on the "monster".

Perfect, looks like monoprice it is! FYI - if anyone is purchasing equipment, I have nothing but good things to say about Vanns. All my purchases were from their clearance outlet section and the non-damaged items basically looked brand new. One of my speakers did arrive damaged: I got a real person on the line in less than a minute and they arranged Fedex pickup + cross shipped a replacement as soon as it was in Fedex's hands.

Bluejeanscable helped me make my own cables.
The hardest part is getting the connectors and I used Belden cables.
