Good salesperson in the Bay Area?
Hi, did a search but only found an old thread dating back to 2003...
I'm looking to possibly get an 08 with the special lease they have going on now. Are there good salespeople in the bay area you'd recommend?
I'll be living in the SJ/Santa Clara area but can drive for a deal I suppose. How important do you guys think it is to buy from the dealer where you plan to get it serviced? With BMW dealers, they treat you better (loaners for one) if you bought it there, dunno with hondas if it matters...
TIA,
Matt

Well, Jon Schmidt at Concord Honda was a good guy. Full disclosure: I take an issue with being uninformed that the car had a cheap KARR alarm t-tapped into the wiring harness when signing the paperwork, but the price was solid and Jon eventually got me a replacement under dash panel where they drilled in the alarm LED. It's evidently a standard dealer procedure; never bought a Honda before though. Caveat emptor on my part.
The team was generally knowledgable about the S2000. Another salesperson actually leased one and gave me a run down on dropping the hood shut, fuel door release, and the secret compartment. Solid sales team overall. Plus, they stayed an extra hour after closing to finish up the deal.
I'd say service it yourself. But generally speaking, servicing at the same place as purchase might get you better service if you build rapport with the staff.
