Good lunch places around Palo Alto?
New to the restaurants around Palo Alto. Anyone has good recommendations? Preferably less than 15min drive from California Ave, so Castro is too far for me. I am next to Wilson Sonsini. Maybe people around this area can have lunch together once in a while?

Try Gombei in Menlo Park, at El Camino and Santa Cruz. Homestyle Japanese food. One of the best.
Also around there is BBC, where you can get a great New York steak sandwich with a pint of Guiness.

There are a buncha different places..... I'm on Hillview/Foothill.
Some places we frequent are:
The Old Pro (Fooseball table) Pagemill/El Camino
Molly Stones (deli sandwhiches) further down California on the east side of El Camino
Quiznos (subs) - El camino/California
OR... you can go into PA and you have your pick of Nola's, Moe's, Penninsula Fountain, Taxi's, and whatever they renamed Pizza a Go Go to..
enjoy
ps... if you have someone else payin... Sundance ain't too bad.. should be just north of you on el camino

Just go to Castro Street in Mountain View. The extra 10 minutes it takes to get there is worth it. Lots of good restaurants to choose from, plenty of (covered) free parking close by. What more could you want?
