best way is to go and when they do Jury Selection, either
a) pretend to be crazy
b) pretend to be extremely biased towards either party, the other is sure to dismiss you

or what I did...
c) Pretend to be extremely racist (towards the ethnicity of either parties). Make it more believable with a story that is similar to your case and to justify why you're like that.

As for just not showing up, that's an interesting theory, because there really is no way to prove that you received it unless it was sent certified, or if you were served the papers.

It's not theory.

I think it would be WAY easier to call-in/show-up than to risk the legal nick-nacks the courts or whatever questioning your excuses.
As someone stole my line above, it is your civil duty to serve jury duty. If you don't like it, not showing up is the pansy way out. You are better off moving to a different country if you are not content with the price of our freedoms.

I mean what are the chances that you don't get it *every* time. After that, I think they'd catch on. Maybe that's when they start sending it certified?
