Default good dealers in Bay Area?

Hey, I just got a notice in the mail from Honda telling me I need to get my spark plugs updated.

I despise dealers but I guess I don't have a choice here. I was wondering if you all can recommend some of the best honda dealers to take my car to? Just want a dealer who's honest, straight forward and won't "dent/scratch/otherwise damage" my car.

Thanks!

oh, and just to add...I looked in the database link in this forum to see about the dealers.

It seems only a few dealers have been commented on and they are Larry Hopkins, Jim Doten, and Walnut Creek. Some comments are very good, with high praise, while other comments, for the same dealership, are very poor, with very negative comments. So, I'm not so sure where to bring it?

I have had nothing but fine service from Walnut Creek. They did my rear window and the clutch/trans TSB's for which I got a loaner vehicle since it took 5 days to finish. I have not received my recall letter but I did make an appointment for Wednesday already and no questions or commentary from them.

On the other hand Livermore gave me the third degree on the rear window so screw them....and I don't care for Dublin due to their "sales" practices. I got my car in El Centro so none of these local dealers were the selling dealer in my case.

thanks mr. moss,

btw, was the clutch/tranny tsb for the 2nd gear grind problem?

I seem to have that problem but mine is a 2001 model, so don't know if it applies.

thanks.

Schedule a weekend appointment with Menlo Honda. The spark plug tsb should be very quick. I've been happy with their work and many people on this board have used them.

Mine is a 2001 as well and I took it in for the clutch TSB. They did that and suggested the 2nd gear TSB as well even though I either did not have or did not recognize the symptoms. I am having the "ringing" again although less than before, and have asked them to consider doing it again. We will see on Wednesday.

I got the same letter in the mail only thing is is that I don't have any problems with my car right now. I have a 02' and ran 7000 good miles on it already without the spark plug issue. Should I still bring it to get serviced? Sorry to be sortah off topic but I'm not so sure what I should do. Should I wait for this problem to happen or should I send my car into a dealership? Any help is greatly appreciated.
