LOL I'm pretty sure it would be much cheaper for your Mustang. The bulk of time and labor was spent on sanding the body kit and molding it onto the car. My spoiler also had really bad orange peel (from the original owner) and wasn't even level, so they spent a lot of time on that as well.
I would suggest taking the Mustang around to a few shops and getting a price quote. ^_^

pictures can be deceiving..
and paint procedures are different for ferrari's and honda's.. as is with mercedes and toyota..
basically there's the oem quality.. orange peal is left ont he paint..
hot rod paint job... each layer of primer, paint, and clear coat is wet sanded before next layer.. resulting in a much glossier and deeper shine..
then there's the rolls Royce paint job... I recall a shop doing one for 50k or so...

You always have to sand primer before painting even if its not for a hot rod. If you dont the paint wont stick and it will look like shit. I have never sanded paint before the clear coat unless there is a huge drip. A good painter does not have drips. I have never sanded clear before the next layer. I shoot the next layer when the clear gets tacky, if you sand that it would come off you you would probably get fired after a few times because you just screwed up the paint. 50k for a paint job? That person must love his car.
