Default Good - Cheap Body Shops?

We're looking to get our mustang fixed (got quiet a bit of scraped of paint on the sides) and I was wondering if there are any good area's in the Bay that people would recommend.

We're actually tempted to do an entire car repaint while we're at it. Anyone know of shops and maybe price estimates to have an entire car done?

Hopefully something under/around 1000 bucks plz

sure...i can do it...give me a couple of weeks, the paint quality will sucks because I'll just use some spray paint from Home Depot but the service is A+++ and i'll do it for $200 bucks.

When it comes to painting you get either good or cheap....not both...
which one is more important to you?

Eh it's just a Mustang... go to Maaco.

j/k I'm with Chris on this one. You can't have a cheap AND good paint job. You can have an expensive and bad paint job, but not the other way around (in my experience).

Good luck!

Sunny Auto Body
Address: 450 Potrero Ave, San Francisco, CA 94110
Phone: (415) 861-2333

You could give them a try. They did my civic and they guarentee the paint work.
They also worked on a few of my friends beaters. No paint has chipped off so that's a good sign.

If not you could always go to Earl Scheib and get the $199 special! lol

I guess I'd opt for good then. I mean, a paint job similar to what we get with the s2000 is good enough, not looking for anything Ferrari level.

So I guess the question ends up being anyone have any good car shops they recommend?

Fusion do you happen to have any pics of the paint on the civic?

Any body shop will paint these two cars the same way. There is no Ferrari level paint.

Hmm? I thought there was a different process done for those exotics I mean... exotics seem to gloss a lot more and have deeper color.

But hell, if they're all the same even better!

I had a really good experience at this place:

Autobody Garage
565 Bryant St.
San Francisco, CA 94107
415-371-8822

The shop itself doesn't look impressive, but the work is great. Ask for Steve - he's the owner. They did a body kit and custom paint job for my 96 del Sol and I got tons of compliments on it. The body kit was molded in so well some people couldn't even tell it was aftermarket. I'll dig up some pics later on, if you want to see.
