Default Go Karting in the Bay

Is there a local forum for go-karting in the Bay Area? I am looking to get into Karts, but I first want to learn as much as I can.

I think you might wanna find local kart shops in bay area and go talk to them. I would also like to know some info about kart shops and kart tracks.

are you looking at outdoor karting? shifter karts?

we have 2 indoor places in the bay area, lemans karting in fremont and gokart racer in burlingame. both are totally good places, different track configuration and karts.

as for outdoor, theres jim russel at infineon.. you can do the arrive and drive or be a member and bring your own karts. but yeah, i'd start checking out the indoor places and get some seat time.

i go to lemans karting more ... actually i will be there on friday.

Thanks for the info guys. I've read that beginners should start at the lowest/slowest class, that way power can not compensate for mistakes. Anyways, I'll be looking into Jim Russel.
