i admit it, I laughed...shame on me. Maybe it just be easier to explain to those NON- Cal and Stanford types that the Golden Bear is Cal's Mascot, and the "the tree" is Stanford's. There, I hope its more clear now. (Why a TREE???)

I'm currently making my way through Cal to become a Bioengineer doing genetic engineering.... talk to industuries... I'll get a better job with this degree from Cal than if I had it from Stanford...

Wow, there are a lot of Cal Alums on this list! Add me to the list! How come I never see any of you in Berkeley? I only see 2 other silvers on a regular basis (both live in the Euclid/northside area).

And I'll second Saxman on what he says about his job opportunities out of Cal vs. Stanford. I graduated Computer Science (and American studies double major ) and a recruiter I spoke to for a large software company (name withheld) said a B.A. in CS from Berkeley was equivalent to a M.S in CS from Stanfurd. Just wanted to throw some more wood onto the fire

The bears may not be going to a bowl game, but we're still number one...
but Nebraska was pummeled by Colorado,
which lost to Fresno State,
which lost to Boise State,
which lost to Rice,
which lost to SMU,
which lost to TCU,
which lost to Tulane,
which lost to Army ,
which lost to Buffalo,
which lost to Rutgers,
which lost to ........guess what .....oh yeah baby!!!!
You got it. Its on the table...
I'll bet the trees can't say they should be rank No 1 and justify it ...
roll on you Bears!!!!!!!

I'm looking forward to the Cal / Stanfurd hoops meetings this year...It looks like the 2 games will be on 1/4 and 1/6...

It will be interesting and entertaining for sure watching the Bears play the Leland Stanfurd Junior College Squad.

I know it's early on in the college hoops season, but the Bears are looking better than expected and Stanford is not looking as tough as expected. Should be some good games this year between the two. Go CAL.
