Default gasline indicator problem?

Hey all
So yesterday I filled up my gas tank to full and drove about 10 miles, and suddenly i noticed about 1/5 of it was gone from the indicator!!! this has never happened before. I go to that place all the time and usually it only takes about one tiny bit gas to get there. In addition, my drive was very normal just like everyday driving.

Can anyone explain what this problem is?
Does anyone have the same experience before?

Thanks in advance

I've read in other threads, and have witnessed first hand how random the gas gauge in this car is. I've had "half a tank" on my guage, and filled up 9.3 gallons. I've been down to 5 bars, and only 7 gallons filled her up. No major element changes. There could be a ton of reasons why this happened, a majority of them being kinda 'out of your control'.

dont know if it make sense but seem like whenever i push the car hard and go get a fill up i cant get a full tank. seem to be gas pressure build up in the tank that stop me from filling up ? my gauge would show full then 5 minute later show that i dont have full tank. but every time after i drive hard and drive normal for a while, wait it out for sometime before go get gas, i can fill up fine.

Usually it's the pump you picked. At a certain Arco I go to, it never "tops off" enough, and I drive away wondering how I burned through 3-4-5-6 bars, in like 1 minute! I would pay attention when you go to that specific pump. Maybe I'm wrong but thats exactly been my problem. Check out my fuelly notes and you will see how frustrating that experience can be..

Rule of thumb = avoid pump #5 at San Antonio Arco (unless you feel like filling 80% capacity)

the low fuel indicator light is usually consistently accurate, just pay attention to that
