Default Gas Prices...

Ok, this is getting ridiculous... From time to time I take my gas tank as low as I can get it in then top it off with fresh new gas. Today it cost me $60.00 to fill up the tank...WTF!! Dude, price on premium went up 60+ cents in some areas !! Guys seeing the same spike in your areas? You have to agree, 60 bucks a tank is a lot for our cars and its not like we drive conservative. Well, at least I don't. Didn't buy the car to drive conservative. It's like wanting to be a soldier then join the Coast Guard...lol

You're right!! It was about $3.89 about 3 weeks ago. Today it's $4.59 70 cents in 3 weeks is just insane! I see and hear $5+ very soon. Sadly, it's not gonna stop me from driving but geez~~

I hope the federal government takes over and does something about this. It's really going to put everyone back in a pinch... This is partially the reason for the prices to go up on food/courier services/and just about everything you purchase off of a shelf period.

We have to pay for the fuel that is getting our food to the stores etc. I don't see this getting better anytime soon though.

Thank god I have a motorcycle if I really need to take the heat off my wallet/the car.

Problem I don't think is our government, its all the unrest that's happening over in the middle east that's driving up the cost. Lots of assumptions are being made in wall street cause of it and then boom...it hits our pockets!!

The reason gas prices are going up is because of the fed government. You can blame our stimulus spending for that and the recent tension in Iran. We are currently in the middle of the largest unspoken period of inflation in recent time.

Food and energy are on the rise, will our gov't tell us inflation is low.

I'm happy to see fuel rise. We enjoy some of the cheapest fuel in the world. $60 is nothing, it's what two people spend out for a nights dinner. Nights dinner vs. gas to drive you around for a week - seems to me gas is under priced until it's about $6-7/gallon.

High prices will reduce waste, SUV/trucks used to commute and help reshape our society to be less wasteful.

FYI - our truck fleet could be turned to bio-diesel overnight and we can produce that domestically off non-food grade fuels.

I also remember back in fall/winter of 2008 gas prices hit $1.98 after the summer of 2008 prices of $4.80. Made me so happy, bought premium for my civic haha

Yeah I would have to agree. I don't make an assload of money so to throw that much more at these oil companies doesn't please me one bit but all in all I have to do it. I do cut back on my spirited driving though to save money from my commute. I've even debated getting a subtle rear diffuser for one because I like the look but it also serves a purpose that might save a few cents a week.

The problem I have is why we're having to pay so much compared to the rest of the us.
