I used to get that until i moved to SF. Having a stop sign every 20 feet is not doing wonders for the mileage.

I shift between 3.5 and 4k and get probably on average 18-20mpg. I really think it all depends on the driving condition, how you drive, and tire pressure.

So in all reality.. 15 isn't actually CRAZY bad, because I do all city driving and shift at around 4-4500, correct?

i think your mpg is not so bad because you have an AP1 (more thirsty than AP2), city driving (short trips hurt too since mpg is bad when the engine is warming up).

i do mostly highway driving and i try to avoid traffic (but it gets me anyway sometimes) so i average around 26mpg. one time i took a trip down hwy 1 and i averaged over 30 mpg. i'm too lazy to remove the hardtop so i'm always enclosed.

rx-8's and 350z's have pretty low mpg's compared to hondas

Can a mod please close this? It's not worth my time looking at these posts saying how great your gas milage is. I'm proud of you, really. But if I wanted to ask what YOU get, I would.

But, I didn't. I asked for help and advice, which only 3-4 have given me. I appreciate it, but the rest of you are just ruining the thread. If you want to, I'll create a thread asking "what gas milage do you get?" and then you can post.

So please, close this thread, it's not doing ANYTHING for me.

Sounds normal, especially if the top gear for city driving is 5th, 4th, or *gasp* 3rd. I also agree with your sluggish comment. The S isn't exactly fast, especially while in "dog mode" (non vtec).
