Anyone know if ATT or Verizon have same program for new customers with contract not finished yet?
Program as far as getting an upgrade before your contract ends? You can usually get away with a few months early and if you know someone that works at AT&T you can do it anytime.

I love my G1. The 3G speed is extremely fast however it does suck the juice out of the battery.

Any phone like that is not going to have great battery life.

I seem to be the only one that noticed and misses this on the phone. It was in 2.0 and gone in 2.0.1

Question:
On google maps if you do a search for food does it do live updates as you move the map to a different location? Or do you have push search again to update the that area with search results..
Hope that makes sense.
Thanks

It used to be a feature on the iPhone but either google or apple eliminated it which really sucks.

I am with Tmobile with few months contract left. But thinking about change to Verizon or ATT, if they will take care of the cancellation fee I will most likely gonna do it, if not I don't mind just wait.

Mac, on my G1 I will have to push search again to update the area w/ new search results. I don't know any phone that can offer live updates. That would really hog up the bandwidth and really suck the juice out of the battery.

Just referred a friend to the same place I got my G1. $79...can't beat that.

Bringing this thread back just to see how G1 users like the phone now. I think it's terrible. Reception is nice. I don't have any qualms with t-mobile's service. The hardware on the other hand...

It's safe to say I'll be going back to a blackberry or even a basic phone this month.l
