Actually in the long run they raise everyone's premiums. If the insurance company sees that a particular car gets more tickets or in more accidents everyone's rates go up.

Yes, it is a public forum and you have the right to post whatever you like, but what is the point of trying to discourage others on helping a couple of friends out?

Well, we do have a few people that have so far said they would contribute. I think that is very sweet and thoughtful of them.
I got a few PMs from people saying that this is exactly why they like s2ki - because people try to take care of each other and the community (for the most part) sticks together. Warm fuzzies!
