Front Lower Control Arms need replacing
Hey guys,
I brought my S2K to Honda of Serramonte for a wheel alignment (I know, overpriced, but that's beside the point here).
Well, I spent a over 7 hours there waiting for my car to get its alignment done and they finally gave up on it around closing time. They said they couldn't get the front wheels to align properly; caster wouldn't come into spec. They suggested that I need to get the front control arms and/or bushings replaced.
I'm aware you can't get those parts separately if you want to stay OEM.
But anyway, I went in for an estimate for replacing both front lower control arms and it came out to $1110.64. That's a lot, and I guessing it's the dealership "premium".
What I'm asking for is a recommendation of a shop experienced in S2K's around the Daly City/San Francisco area that can do this for considerably cheaper. I know that replacing these items isn't cheap by any means (unless you do it yourself, which I can't), but I have a feeling that over 1K might be asking a little too much.
So could you guys please recommend a shop that can take care of this for me and won't gouge me for my money!
And if by some insane chance, the estimate that Honda of Serramonte gave me is spot on, then just say so. Haha.
Thanks so much,
Alex

Parts alone are going to run you $500 if you get them retail. You will also need an alignment afterwards, so $1100 doesn't seem totally unrealistic, but definitely expensive.
You can check with Joey (itS2Krazy) and see if this is something he would work on. He's located in your next of the woods.
