I put the plate back. Those dimples on the front bumper were too much to overcome. I'll just have to wait until I get an APR front or something.

Never had the front plate since the first day I bought the car. I got one ticket, it was supposed to be a parking ticket but she said: "I'll fine you for not having a front plate and not for the parking..."
Got pulled over other times for different reasons and never had a problem.

pic above of citation with fine amounts for various violations. just got mine signed off at sfpd and stuck on the plate with double sided tape (bent the top of my plate).
Whoa whoa whoa, front plate costs $85? Or is it cheaper if you get it signed off?
What the heck is #14, "Laguna Honda Home"? If you drive a Laguna Blue Honda S2000, you can be cited for $55 whenever you leave home???

after 2years 10months of owning the s2000 without rocking the front plate. i finally got pulled over today and cited for no front plate

now the question is, would they sign it off if i double sided tape my plate onto my front bumper? i have an aftermarket front bumper, no holes, no grill or anything to ziptie it to..

Been hanging out in SF more and got two tickets back to back days in Mission Bay. One at 3am and one at 1pm. Shopping for the manual concealed plate holder now.

In the 6 years that I've lived in the Bay Area, I've gotten two fix-it tickets for no front plate. The first was given to me while parked in downtown Palo Alto - I guess some cop was bored and saw an easy target. The second was a few months ago when I was pulled over for "speeding" and the cop said he had to give me a ticket for something. No way I'm ever running a front plate on either car.
