That looked very clever. Do you have more info on the installation? Is this a DIY invention or did you buy this somewhere? Any still pictures on the installation would be appreciated. Thanks.
He's supercharged with a hide-away license plate!!!

If you daily drive your S, keep them on. If you are a weekender, throw the front plate over the back plate (so you don't lose it) and rock on.

Is what I bought, the mounting is the hard part. Mine is mounted to the bottom of the lower most grill, the one that is part of the bumper. I had to knock out a lower vertical grill support to make it fit.

Thanks. I've seen the one that is mounted under the front bumper, but it would scrape the bottom if I do it on the S2000. Your mounting in the grill opening avoids that problem. I didn't know there is enough "depth" there to fit the plate. Isn't the AC condenser sitting right there? What else did you have to move/remove to fit it in the grill? And did you have to re-enforce the grill after removing the vertical section? Finally, the plate is taller than the grill opening (just slightly), so did you have to trim the plate to fit? Lots of questions, looking forward to your answers. Posting pictures would also help. Thanks.

I'll post some high quality pictures tonight.

Yes, if you're lowered or you have a lip, this will get torn up on the streets if you mount it to the under side of the bumper. The AC Condenser blocks fitment if you place the license plate in the middle, and the line blocks fitment if you place it on the passenger side. Fits perfectly on the driver side. The ONLY thing I had to remove was to knock out that vertical support bar and the plate and bracket fit in there perfectly. I didn't have to trim the license plate at all, it is taller than the grill, so what happens instead is the plate is tilted and rests on part of the bumper. The parts where it rests against the bumper, I have light foam padding on the edges of the back of the license plate mount. I didn't reinforce the grill, I didn't feel I needed to, you may feel otherwise, but I frankly don't see any options other than running some sort of stiffener all along the under side of the lower horizontal grill section.

Another easy way to mount the plate is with a liscence plate trailor bracket. It looks like a Y. The top of the y bolts to the plate and the single bottom bolts to the grill where the previous mounting spot is. It's only 1 10mm bolt holding it on. And i have not had any problems in almost a year. Plus it only takes 1 10mm bolt to remove OR put on when you get pulled over!! And there like $15.

46000 miles and i only got one ticket but it was when i got pulled over for 65 in a 55. never been pulled over for the plate itself or gotten a ticket while parked, but my friend in his white is250 got pulled over JUST for the front plate lol.
