I'd use the 750F and hold it far away from the bumper first until you get a feel for how fast it heats , heat the panel up slowly and move the gun around(don't leave it on just one spot), or it will burn the paint and bumper.

FYI considering that 750F will melt solder, you shouldn't need to heat it up to the full 750F
i only have 750F and 1000F option. no lower or inbetween.

how long should i heat up the bumper for... 30 secs? 20? 10? 1 min?

Your going to have to play around to see what temp works. Just set it to 750F and hold it far away and see how it heats the panel, the full 750F is only if you held it right up to the part which you don't want to do.

It might be better to heat the unpainted side since the temperature needed to make the bumper ply able might be higher than what the paint should be exposed too.

I've never done this before, I just use heat guns alot.

So I bought a heat gun and tried to see what I can do...

Not finished yet. I just noticed a slight imperfection with the side needing to be pushed in a little more after looking at the picture. Although, it's not as bad as I thought and I don't think I'll be buying another front bumper. Car just needs to be cleaned up a little and it'll look a lot better. Now I just need a new lip! WAYNE HELP!

Gotta return the heat gun after this is done, but its been so good to me that I might keep it. (not gonna lie I'll probably return it)
