Hey guys,
I noticed there's some interest in karting, so I'm planning on offering a free demo session for you motor heads to try out at Atwater, CA near Merced.
Two demo days:
Sept. 29th, Sunday
Oct. 6th, Sunday
(Please e-mail me direct to confirm the day you want to go.)
The demo kart is a 30hp 16,000 rpm Parilla single speed engine on the National level proven Maranello kart imported from Italy. It's capable of going 120+ mph, but you'll be reaching about 85 at atwater and about 3 G's cornering. Blink and you'll go flyin off the track!!! Shifter karts have the acceleration of a 10sec drag car (0-60 in 3.2 sec), but it does it going into every corner 10-15 times a lap instead just once down a straight!!!
You could see an aerial view of the track at: http://www.elite.net/akc/
In case you guys don't know, there's tracks all California; Atwater, Marina, Stockton, Sears Point, Dixon, Davis, Redding...just to name a few. Most have club membership available for about $150-250 per year, you get a key and access to the track 7 days a week for unlimited tracktime!!!
If anyone's interested, shoot me an e-mail at info@fastech-racing.com or call 831-375-5529
Thanks.
John

In case you guys don't know, ALL the best drivers in the world learned everything they needed to know in karting. They were all National or European Champions and from there they went to F3000, then Formula-One!
In the US, guys like Scott Speed & Oliver Rowen (Star Mazda Series), AJ Almendinger (Barber Dodge Series), Joey Hand (Toyota Atlantic), Memo Gildey (CART) all came straight from karting (Most just last year), got a scholarship to race and kicked -ss right off the back with no "CAR" experience!
Again this is a FREE introductory demo for anyone that wants to test a kart out. Just bring a helmet, gloves, and a heavy jacket!
Thanks!

I really want to come but it depends on my schedule. If the demo happens this weekend, I can't make it. I'm hoping it takes place on Oct 5 or 6.
jvannghi, I've already e-mailed you (khurram_ster@yahoo.com) and I'm somewhat interested in buying a go-kart but it probably won't happen for at least 6 months. I gotta save up the extra cash first.
