Default Forbidden-USA HT Install in the Peninsula

Anybody know of any shops in the Peninsula that would do a hardtop install (currently OEM soft-top). I'm eyeing the OEM-style from Forbidden-USA.

On what basis can you justify getting a forbidden hard top? Have you read up on their reputation on the forums?

I did see a bunch of their threads and didn't catch anything concerning. Care to help me out with some input?

I just read that the fitment was not as good as OEM, which is expected from replicas. I am also curious if they have bad customer service.

I'm just looking for an OEM-style hardtop which will protect my interior from the rain - I'm not as concerned about a perfect seal/fitment for wind noise like a genuine OEM HT would give. Anybody have personal experience with the Forbidden HT and/or installers in the Bay Area?

I can't say I've ever seen someone post a hard top installation service. I would think most people install the hardtops themselves. Heck, I spent a couple of hours figuring out how to install my own hardtop. It's fairly easy.

I have the OEM style Forbiden USA hardtop, painted in GPW at their shop and picked up in LA. Overall, I'm very happy with the top, and have adjusted it a few times to make it sit right. I only wish they had some OEM molding on the glass so it would sit flush on the trunk area. The lexan glass holds up well and using some Honda Shin-estu grease on the seals will keep the top quiet. I've taken off the hardtop a couple times already with no issues putting it back on.

Seen his hardtop in person and looks great!

OEM hardtops have great fitment, but aftermarket ones can fit pretty well. We have done numerous hardtop installs (both aftermarket and OEM) so if you have any questions feel free to ask

If all you need is a hardtop to protect the soft top from elements, the Forbidden should fit the bill nicely.
