you are going to have to get a new crank and bottom bracket, wheels and tires, a saddle, and chain at the least from looking at your pix. that handlebar looks bent too. if you bought all that stuff new you might as well be considering something new for not much more money.

mostly marin. meet sundays 8am at the gg bridge. either PARADISE, CHINA CAMP, LUCAS VALLEY, or ALPINE/MT TAM.

the roads where you are are definitely better (smoother and less traffic)
you are welcome to join us though. some of my friends Stan (litespeed) and Eric ride with the PenVelo group sometimes as well .

weekdays I do the headlands a handful of times to get some climbing in.
does stan ride a Sienna or a Classic? Isn't he a conductor for Bart?
Marin Headland was my playing ground 10 years ago when I worked in SF. I used to time my climb up conzelman road. My time was around 9 - 9:30 min (painful).

What's the difference between a fixie and a single gear? Back pedal brakes? Loves those! Plus we should get up an s2ki road bike trip!

consider getting a flip/flop hub so you can switch between freewheel and fixed
