fixed gear = the new bandwagon
I guess its true now but, you know why we started ridding them right?

I lived in Philly and New York for most of my life and as soon as you lock up your bike to go into the bar something gets stripped off of it. We started riding them something like 12 years ago so that our brakes and gear crap would not get stolen. Hell they would even steal BMX grips!!! I don't even know how that is possible.3

Try ridding your bike home with no brakes drunk outta your mind That was as good as it gets....many times you'd have to carry it home (which is a long cold walk out east) cause the rear derailleur was missing

Who want's to do a fixed gear race up 17th street in SF(End at Stanyan)???
sure why not. some basic requirements for all participants. feel free to add your own

1) all riders must have 10 pound U Lock hanging from their jeans

2) business cards or postcards stuck in each and every spoke to create a faux disc wheel

3) absolutely no helmets

4) handlebars must be flat and no wider than 8 inches wide; it does not matter if you can steer or not.

i ride a track bike on the street with carbon wheels and front brake. its good for building up sprint speed and leg strength as well. a small cog on the back will also help you increase your cadence...my 2cents..

LOLLL sounds like a hypebeast to me. You forgot that every part has to be brightly colored and not matching.
