Default "Fix it" Tix Questions

Long story short... I got pulled over lastnight at 12am Got a ticket for no front license plate. My question is he said that if I got pulled over again for no front license plate I would get a Point on my record. Is this true???

He also got me for my exhaust. Gotta go to the state ref. So now Im gonna sell it. Its not worth the hassle anymore Any chance I can put the silencers in and it would pass with the ref??

Thanks All...

Putting silencers on will not pass the ref. They changed the law, silencers must be welded on to pass.

If you fix your ticket and they pull you over again you won't get a point. I got a fix it ticket for no front and exhaust, 2 weeks later I got another no front plate fix it ticket and I didn't receive a point on my record. Maybe they were just trying to scare you?

What exhaust do you have?

Thanks I knew that cop wasn't truthful.

He asked me what that red thing was in my front bumper. It was my tow hook

I have a T1r 70mm dual. I love the sound of it.....

I got the exact same ticket like you not too long ago. All i had to do was put my stock exhaust on and front license plate then let an off duty officer sign the ticket off for me. You still have to pay 10 dollars at court though.

I forgot what CVC it was. But I was reading it on the wall when I took my car to the ref. It was a poster showing the updated laws with modified parts. Talked to the ref and he said they just changed it last year about the whole silencer thing, cause people would just come into ref with it on and pass the dB test and take it off later.

As for paying the ref, I believe it was only 20$ in all? Somewhere around there not much, its basically a dB test and smog check if they issued you that too. Then they print out the forms so you can give it to an officer to write off the fix it and proof that you went. The ref also stamps the back of your ticket as well for verification.
