everyone i spoke to just used a heat gun and had no problems wht so ever. hard to believe this shop more or less will gurantee that its gonna chip.
yeah pretty much. thats why i thought it was a little iffy when he told me the price. other places were charging $150 per fender and this guy is charging $150 for all 4. kind of too good to be true. makes me want to roll my fenders on my own, but i have no experience and will probably F up too

gah now im leaning towards just rolling my own fenders. would kind of be a waste of money if i pay $150 (even tho its an amazing deal) for all 4 fenders but have to pay for re-painting em later because they "accidentally" ****ed up

90%. come on.....

you're better off just doing it yourself. it's not that hard if you have a roller.

$150?

90% is almost a gurantee that it will chip. I would rather do it myself then f it up rather than stranger doing it. BTW, you have a fender roller? lmk.

It's simple physics....

Get a piece of thin metal, paint it and then try to bend it. At some point the paint will crack! You can heat it and be careful but if u are trying to fold it flat over itself, forget it.

There's a shop in mountain view that rolls fenders and they told me they can roll the fender but they MUST be painted. This shop was recommended to me by a few s2ki members.

how much do they quote on repainting the fenders if the paint is chipped?

also has anyone heard of just cutting the fenders with an air saw and then just use wet dry sandpaper to smooth it out?

gauranteed to chip the paint, it'll start low, and start flaking out.
