Never hit the track, I like the auto x for now.

Don't forget track pads and break fluid! You'll surely toast the stock setup.

ohh and for the snap oversteer, i did a high speed autox that was on a track and that helped me learn alot about where the car will "snap", its something you need to feel though (in a safe environment), but dont seek out, it will come to you. LOL

LOL. Any spinouts or other mishaps?
less than 3 spins, but many 2 wheel offs always drive with undercontrol speed, never really push myself too hard, afraid of death or injury, and cost, I am a big chicken on track, but really enjoy those behind wheel moments.

Darn it, I crashed.. you shoulda told me sooner!

Just kiddin. I'm back safe and sound.

This was a lot of fun. We only about 20 minutes on the track of "fast" driving. But before that, they took us all out and had us do a few laps at like 25 mph to learn the track.

My instructor was really cool. He had his MX-5 with him but he said he also has an S2k so when he saw my car he chose me for his student. It seemed like he really knew the track well and gave me lots of good tips on the right line to take, more than I could absorb.

One thing that would have been cool, would have been to gradually ramp up the speed each practice lap and have our final lap be at high speeds. I felt like I kicked ass with the line by the end of the practice laps. But once we went out for our real session, I was kinda felt like I came into some turns at too high of speed which made me get off the line. I probably wasn't actually coming in too fast but I was just a little scared still to commit, being a rookie and everything.

I did put on some new tires last night. Switched from the rims with all-seasons that came with the car to another set of AP1 rims with S02's. Damn, the S02's feel soooo much better than the all-seasons. I noticed that right away. Now I love my car even more.

Overall, the Hyperdrive was really fun. It was cool to get to learn the track and get my feet wet for only 100 bucks, without having to commit to buying a helmet or anything.

I don't really feel like I am walking away a better driver in a practical sense though, so I'm still really looking forward to a car control class or some autocross, or finding one of those elusive wide open parking lots with no parking blocks or poles. LOL.

Hey not bad in all that time! Yeah I do want to learn but I'm hoping not to push myself too hard. Definitely don't want to hurt this car, as other car is a big step down, so my S has to stay nice.

no worry, most people think going to track will abuse their car, but think about it, it's much safer than street and highway everyday driving. Just give a little room for yourself and others, you'll have lot of fun. unless you are trying to race someone, then you better watch out
