Also for what it's worth, I'm grabbing my set of star specs off of onlinetires.com. About 100-200 bucks cheaper although it's going to be 5-7 business days versus 1-2 for tirerack.

I ordered some star specs (and track wheels) on Friday through America's tires. I expected them to come in today, but they never called. Interestingly, they buy them from Tire Rack! Did you order direct or go through America's Tires? Which America's Tires do you use, BTW?

Have you read the reviews for them? They are pretty bad. Good luck with your purchase.

I don't see the star specs listed there. Are you sure it's the same tire?

I ordered through tire rack. I was scared of the reviews from onlinetires.com plus I needed the fast turn around time. I am having them drop shipped to the walnut creek America's tire. I did not know America's tires gets their star spec from tire rack. That's funny because America's tire could not guarantee the availability or arrival time that tire rack themselves could.

I'd be surprised if onlinetires can pull off up to $50/tire cheaper than tire rack for the star specs. That would be great. Do they charge tax? How much for shipping. Tire rack is $54 to ship four tires and no tax.

Yeah they don't have star specs, got too excited early. They tax and shipping is $48. I'm comparing Potenzas between them, Tirerack is $995.47 and onlinetires is $962.17 after shipping and tax. Cheaper for $40, didn't check their reviews though

QFT! My friend called Discount Tire and they even told him that the Star Specs are now exclusive to the Tire Rack. Plug and patch should be fine!

Tires gone in 5,000 miles! Lol, I'm still on my original RE050! Mind you I don't do weekly canyon runs.

On a side note, eklipz98, I take it from your experience you find the SS to be superior to the Sumi's & RS3s?

Just ordered some star specs today too. Sliding around on my bald crappy tires last weekend sucked.
