final drive gear install in bay area?

it's really $105/hr. Give them a call at 916.933.1080 i'm sure they can tell you. They quoted me 1,500 for the whole job including all parts and a comptech rearend but they mentioned that they don't get a break from ricks so if we bought it and paid them for the labor it should be a lot cheaper.

You can order the parts from out of state to save on sales tax. I had my SC installed by Comptech too and their work is top notch. The only downside I see to having work done so far from home is if something goes wrong in the future, it's going to be a PITA to go back to Sacramento to have it looked at.

Hi, I'm new to the board and don't yet have an S2000. I have a Mustang currently, but pretty much all the Mustang owners in the bay area go to a place called Rear End Specialties in Santa Clara. I don't know if they work on S2000s, but I don't see why not. They do great work. Final drive replacement in my Mustang was $400 parts and labor. Hope this helps.

I had Rearends Specialist in Santa Clara replace my final gear with a 4.44. I left my car there for a day and no problems at all. They seem to know what they were doing. I paid $400. Their web site: http://www.rearendspecialties.com/.
