I'm not sure how this statement changes my conclusions. If you're implying that a partially opened throttle plate will decrease the boost seen at the intake manifold then it just further supports my argument that below about 5,000 rpm, the car is effectively running on atmospheric pressure. My dyno plot with A/F and intake manifold pressure showed this to be true.
If you come to the next kbbq meet, I might be able to convince you otherwise

No amount of bbq'd meat is going to convince me of the plots I've seen of my own car on a dyno showing RPM, whp/torque, intake manifold pressure and a/f ratio. Whatever my SC is doing in the low rpms it is not making the burning fuel in the combustion chamber push the piston down with significantly more force than stock.

But, look, if your car is making boost at low rpm, then gratz!

I think its totally true that there are not enough mechanics who know what they are talking about when it comes to S2000s...And agree w/ several of the above posts...w/out proper tuning and proper internals replaced when adding a turbo or SC, bad things can happen, but if installed and tuned properly, engines can last just as long as N/A. You can see this trend w/ all kinds of cars...MR2s, Supras, RX-7s, Civics and the list goes on...truth is, you just need to find someone who knows what they're doing. Personally, im keeping my S N/A..but that's cause im building a FC (91 RX-7)...Just got my racing beat crate engine...and waiting for my RE headlamps...
