Next saturday is open for me, August 21st. The weekends after that I will be at sears point and the following weekend, labor day weekend, I will be at buttonwillow, although September 6th, labor day monday, I will be around.

....does the hondata gasket require a coolant flush(or cause coolant to spill everywhere)? Because I know that's a PITA....swapping the fan switch is relatively easy....swapping the thermostat appears somewhat harder.

Well, the thermostat requires coolant removal as you will be pulling off one of the lowest hoses in the system. It is defiantely messy. Hodata gasket also requires a coolant flush. Though since it is higher up, you can get away with only partially draining the system.

My point is that since you will be draining it once, kill 2 'lil birdies with one soju...err I mean stone.

Ahh...that's what I figured...wasn't sure if the hondata required a coolant flush.....hmmmm yea...don't know if I'd want to do that on tech day too

Hondata doesn't need a coolant flush, ya just need to get enough coolant out so that the level drops below the intake manifold. But I agree with Asura, you might as well do it all in one shot.
