How long would a valve adjustment take?? I'd like to get that done too.

Need to let the engine cool 2-3 hours before you adjust them and also so you don't get burned.

And then another ~1 hour actually doing the adjustment. If we had a fan it would probably be cool enough in 1-2 hours.

We sure can. If you don't want to wait, we can setup a time and I can take care of it for you/walk you through it.
What gaskets need to be replaced? Just the valve cover?

As per the manual the valve cover gasket, and it suggests to replace the cover bolt gaskets too. I've had my valve cover off about 6 times, and never replaced any of them. Just wipe 'em off, check for tears/cracks, and put em back in. I wouldn't worry about it.

Thats what I figured. Ive had the valve cover off many times on other Hondas and never replaced or had any leaks. Im down for a valve adjustment whenever then.

along with your 5 sealing washers for the valve cover retaining bolts, the shop manual recommends replacing the 4 spark plug tube seals as well....I guess I'm too anal...

Many places sell all 10 pieces as a kit, part # 12040-PCX-305
Eh, unless you cut 'em with a knife, they almost never go bad. I never replace any of the gaskets, not worth the $. In fact, I know someone who always replaces his and ended up with a leaking valve cover gasket, go figure.
