Feedback on T.G.I.F. Body Shop, Fremont?
I was involved in a small parking lot accident and have taken it to three shops. One is located in Fairfield, the other 2 in Fremont where I live. Here's the end result:
I made the mistake of taking it to 3 shops. Should of just gone to EMC Collision in Fremont, cashed out with their ridiculously high estimate and had it repaired elsewhere for half the price. If I cash out now, I would get compensation from the lower estimate.
1. T.G.I.F. - better reputation. Repairing the fender/hood rather then replacing (good/bad depending on how you look at it). Estimate came out to ~$1,800. http://www.tgifauto.com/
2. EMC Collision - From my research, their work is hit or miss. Some mofo backed into the DS door and I had it replaced/repainted there about a month ago. They did a good job, but it involved repainting/installing a new door. They are going to replace the fender/hood and color match a couple more panels. It's obvious they're overcharging, but insurance is going to pay for it. I won't have to pay the $500 deductible with them either. Estimate came out to $4,200. http://www.emccollision.com/
