No, the STI engine has been massively beefed up and is a 2.5l to boot. It's got a semi closed block, forged pistons, forged rods, and a whole bunch more. It's probably good for 450hp, easy. There's a new tranny too, that can actually handle all that power. Plus you get different differentials. You should read up on the car, it's amazing.

i think it has goldish brown rims but im now sure, and it has carbon fiber exhaust with no other emblems on his WRX. shaved out. what else..hmm unfortunately, i couldnt see his front modif since he d gone away before i saw it.
but it was an awesome bad-a$$.

I've seen a lowered black WR-X with gold Advans at the Fremont DMV. It also had aftermarket exhaust (very deep sound while cruising in the parking lot) and tinted windows (a couple of small side window stickers). The car was tastefully done. I wonder if it was him?
