Default the fastest WRX i 've ever seen

Yesterday, i was on the way to Danville on 680 south. i was on 75 mph. all of a sudden, a black fully fixed-up WRX was trying to lick my a$$. and i got prepared to slam my S in 3rd gear but he was staying right back on my a$$. i was on the 1st lane and there were no other cars on 2nd lane. i changed to 2nd lane to let him go first, cuz i thouhgt that i could easily beat his, and i got ready to pull my S out. as soon as i changed the lane and looked at the mirror to see his whereabouts but i could see nothing cuz he already took his WRX very far front me. he was soooooooooo fast cuz i slamed to 3rd gear with its about 7-8rpm, id gone up to 130mph still i felt much lacking HP. he was gone with wind. it was terrible.
I swear to God, never ever run with WRX.

Yup - WRX's are fast stock, and can be made damn fast with a little cash. I'd like to see a loaded WRX post against a Lingenfelter 427TT Corvette. That would be a hell of a scene.

I'm guessing that he was mistaking 5th for 3rd in the S's short shift pattern.

Your original post made sense to me. Just ignore the wise guys.

You think there's a WRX web site somewhere with a guy bragging about his "kill" against an S2000?

I wonder if the STI will be any better of a platform than the current WRX in terms of upgradability. I have not read of any changes to the bottom end of the engine. If I remember correctly the STI only has suspension, brakes, turbo, and header upgrades; all of which are replaced with a serios WRX upgrade.

Could someone please tell me whether this is correct or if I'm speaking through my bumm?

Sorry im not trying to be a smart ass, fix up your car if you worried about things like this. At 130 you should be pulling away from any Subaru!
