The lunatic running on the track was an Irish "minister" of some type who was agitated by the Iraqi war and wanted to illustrate his opinion that the world was about to end. He is being prosecuted for "malicious trespassing" or something . He could have seriously injured a driver or two besides his (useless) self.
Hey Ed why don't you just go to Indy for F1? It is pretty cool despite the "Midwestern-ness" of it all. Save yourself that 20-hour plane ride.
