They did take a while to fix the problem, but they made sure they fixed it right. Anderson was very accommodating. Got a cool car (a loaded Saab 95) to hang out in while I waited. 0.1 extra miles on my car. Took 1 day to trace the problem, order the part, and repair it. They even washed it.

Can't make this meet. Seems like I can never make these things. I'll have to try for one of those lunch meetings.

Sorry to hear that man, I think Honda service departments are some of the worse. Not the kind of respect you'd expect to receive from buying a 30k+ car. I think I will try the Los Gatos Honda when I have any problems, haven't heard any coplaints about them.... yet.

And, where are the southbay guys meeting at? I dont even know what you guys are talking about with that cafe thinga ma jig in Scotts Valley, I don't even know where Scotts Valley is =) sorry. So any San Jose, Sunnyvale, Milpitas, or Southbay guys meeting?

thanks for the offer for passenger, my sister is in town for her spring break this weekend so i think i'm not going to be able to go. i talked to the general service manager, he says more than just the synchro's were messed up, they had to order some new gears b/c it was put together by SHITTY FAIRFAX HONDA incorrectly. "The mechanic should've worked in a butcher shop instead" was the hopkins mechanic's quote.

so not so much bad Larry Hopkins but HORRIBLE FAIRFAX HONDA.

they gave me a civic which has a lesser stereo and manual windows, but much nicer to drive than the saturn. think i will go get f'ed up w/ my sister and some friends in folsom this weekend.

i'm feeling better now that i've seen the lack of gears in my disassembled transmission

I will meet you guys in Scotts Valley but not sure if i can go up to Marin. I think Starbucks or Abouche will be the best place to meet. Both are on Mt Hermon about 1 mile from the freeway. Keep me posted as to the time you all will be meeting. Oh Dave can you send Michael an email as to what time we are meeting in SV? I don't have his email address with me at home...thanks. I hope to see the southbay guys on Sunday.
