Use hard alcohol not beer in an open wound beer may do nothing at all and can make things worse. Btw I've had many pythons and have been bitten by them and they can cause nasty infections if you don't clean the wound.

dr.darkness - hard alcohol really? was cautioned against that, for it could cause the reptile a respiratory infection? would trust you over a googled site. thnx!
Ken - mmh,JB's.. come to LA. Ktown ratio of chicks is 2:1. too bad they're half psycho.
s2k 07- you know, those prescription goggles.. they came late. had pre-ordered them a Month in advance, and they still managed to come Late. ended up having to unhinge a brand new pair of specs and purchase some floofy mask in order to find the correct "fitment". fogged up like crazy in bahia. half the time, didn't even use it. had I not been able to free dive, I would've probably hurt the dude at westcoast divers.. there was an incredible amount of life to see, will have to start a thread with pictures. The most amazing thing that I could not capture, was swimming in the biolumiscence. that, is the experience of a lifetime.
