Hello everyone. I have been searching long and hard for a new occupation, but have been unsuccessfull thus far. The organizations that are hiring are usually related to a sales and that is not what I am interested in (I'm an ex Forex broker).
Yes, I have searched the usual job websites (i.e. Monster, Craigslist, Careerbuilder, etc ...) and I have been beat out by people with more experience. So here I am asking this great network of people on this board. Would anyone happen to know someone within a financial services organization that can refer me for an entry-level position? I prefer an analytical type of job (i.e. Financial Analyst), but any corporate entry-level position will do.
My experience is very small, but I do have strong academic credentials. I've graduated Cum Laude with 2 degrees in Finance at SFSU, and have been on the academic Dean's List 5 times.
Any help is appreciated

I'll keep my eyes open. I work for Lucasarts, unfortunately we don't have any positions open in Finance.

PM me your e-mail address. I'm on the SCU Yahoo group list, and the folks there send out a lot of job postings for various business positions. There were a bunch lately looking for Financial Analysts, and I recall seeing some that were entry level. The only thing I'm not sure about is location. I think some were in the East Bay, and others were in the South Bay. I don't recall seeing anything in SF. Anyway, once I get your e-mail address, I'll forward any relevant ones to you.

From the main page, click on Employer Index, and you can select companies by city or field. It lists a bunch of companies so you can go directly to their websites and look up jobs.
