Well, the Comptech exhaust isn't too loud, so you probably won't catch too much heat from it, but these days, if they pull you over and pop your hood, they will send you to the state BAR referee to look over your car. You should pass, since you have all CARB stuff, but it is a major PITA.

If you are talking about smog, most shops won't risk getting caught, but if you know the right people, you can find a hook up.

If you get sent to the BAR, you have no choice but to return the car to stock or at least CARB legal.

If the Intake and Exhaust have a CARB EO# your ok (the smog tech by law has to look it up and verify that its the right part for your car), You will need to put your cat back in to pass.

The smog inspection is visual as much as it is tailpipe. Also, don't show up with a check engine light on (or after just clearing them, your readiness codes will not be set)

I hope this info helps

I've never bothered to look at it carefully but i know my intake has a sticker on it. it's a different story with the exhaust, tho, which was purchased used. Was it supposed to come with a sticker just like the intake or is it something that they can be look up using database?

I never had a cel light with the tp, so i don't think that's gonna be a problem, however, thanks for the tip.

I should clarify, anything post cat will not need a sticker.

Or you can pay the fine ^ That's what I got from those that didn't want to deal with bringing it to the BAR. Is this an option or just a myth?
