I can't say I'm terribly happy with it, though. The mirror is higher than it was before and the tech scratched the window frame. He painted over it, but you can still see the mark.
Jei make sure to change the metal hanger on your windshield where the rear view mirror goes. The oem metal hanger is angled that makes your rear view mirror sit lower. So just replace the aftermarket hanger. I found it out the last time I got my windshield replaced.

So you prefer the oem one, right? Are you suggesting to make sure they give you the old mirror so you can just sway out the hanger?

Is it easily replaced? I've been contemplating to replace my windshield too.

Replacing a windshield is no fun. You need the proper knife to cut the adhesive they use and there is a decent change you will break part of the glass which could result in small pieces falling into the car. Always fun to clean up.

It's the metal plate that's attached to the winshield it self. You can heat it up and pry it off. Then glue it back on your new windshield. That's what the guy did when he replaced windshield.

Good information people. Keep the east bay referrals coming. Anyone else had a windshield replaced? Where did you go? How much did it cost?

Not exactly in the East Bay, but excellent reviews.

There are a few local walnut creek places, I'm just scared to try one no one else has done before, lol. I might take a risk if there's like 100 positive yelp reviews or something.
